KazNU participated in the international scientific dialogue

The international student scientific and practical conference "Central Asia and the East: points of intersection in politics, economics and culture" was held in the branch of KazNU in Bishkek together with the International University of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The forum was attended by students, undergraduates, doctoral students and young researchers from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and other countries. The conference was held in offline and online formats, providing a broad international and interuniversity scientific dialogue.

At the opening of the plenary session, Margulan Ibraimov, Member of the Management Board, ViceRector for Research and Innovation at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, delivered a welcoming address to the participants. In his speech, he noted that Central Asia and the countries of the East are currently at the center of complex political, economic and cultural processes. "Supporting scientific initiatives of young people, developing research competencies and involving students in international academic cooperation are a strategic priority of al-Farabi Kazakh National University",- said the Vice–rector.

Welcoming remarks were also made by Zhamin Sheishenov, Director of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Bishkek, Kazybek Zhusipakhmetov, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Kyrgyz Republic, Igor Shestakov, member of the Expert Council of the Center for the Analysis of International Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Director of the Analytical Center for Expert Initiatives Oh-Ordo, and others.

The conference continued in three thematic sections covering topical issues: "Political processes and international relations in Central Asia and the countries of the East", "Economic, social and managerial processes of development in Central Asia and the East", "Cultural relations, humanitarian interaction and intercultural dialogue". During the breakout sessions, issues of international relations and security, economics, governance and digitalization, culture and intercultural dialogue were discussed.

According to the participants of the discourse, scientific forums strengthen collaboration between universities and contribute to the development of academic mobility, as well as the formation of research and analytical competencies of students.

At the end of the conference, an award ceremony was held, where certificates were awarded to active participants, and special diplomas were awarded to the best authors.
