Leadership lecture and meeting of the department's faculty with the Dean of the Faculty of Communication at Kadir Has University (Turkey), Professor Kozak Metin

On 18 December, a meeting of the faculty of Recreational Geography and Tourism was held with the participation of Professor Metin Kozak. During the event, the professor delivered an in-depth lecture focused on the preparation and publication of research articles in peer-reviewed international journals. Special attention was given to the structure of scientific articles, the logical presentation of research results, the requirements of academic writing style, as well as strategies for selecting relevant journals depending on the research topic and methodology.

The lecture also covered modern research methods, features of working with empirical data, and the key stages of interaction with editors and reviewers of international journals. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of integrating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into research in recreational geography and tourism, including topics such as sustainable tourism, rational use of natural resources, ecosystem protection, socio-economic development of territories, and improving the quality of life of local communities. Aligning research with the SDGs enhances its scientific and practical significance and increases its relevance in international journals.

After the lecture, a professional discussion was held with faculty members, during which participants exchanged scientific and pedagogical experience, discussed current research directions in recreational geography and tourism with consideration of the SDGs, and explored opportunities for developing international academic collaboration and participation in joint research projects.
