KazNU Students — Participants and Award Winners of the SPbPU Winter University

Students of the Department of Mathematical and Computer Modeling, Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University — Akhmetsharif Sati, Duskaliev Danesh, and Kulkin Nikolay — participated in the Winter University in Engineering Sciences, held from November 24 to December 7 at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. The program was organized at the Advanced Engineering School “Digital Engineering” of SPbPU and brought together students from different countries.

The participants studied within the Engineer track, focusing on modern approaches to digital engineering, engineering modeling, aerodynamics, industrial design, and topological optimization. Classes were conducted in SPbPU academic buildings and at the engineering center in Kronstadt. A notable outcome was Akhmetsharif Sati’s third place in the AI & Beyond intellectual quiz on artificial intelligence. Participation in the program contributed to the students’ professional development and strengthened international academic collaboration.
