Warmth at «Shapagat», light in the hearts of children!

Today, on December 24, 2025, on the eve of the New Year, the Department of Language and General Education Training for Foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-University Education at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized a charity event at the “Shapagat” Social Services Center (Branch No. 3) in Almaty.

As part of the event, the department staff presented New Year gifts to 35 children and met with its employees. The Dean of the Faculty, Almas Äuelbekuly Bektanov, congratulated the children on the upcoming New Year, expressed sincere gratitude to the center’s staff for their care, attention, and compassionate support for children with disabilities, and wished them success in their noble work.

This charitable initiative was carried out within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, SDG 10 — “Reduced Inequalities,” and was aimed at supporting children from socially vulnerable groups and creating conditions for their equal participation in social life.

Bringing joy to children with special needs and seeing their sincere emotions and radiant smiles—expressed not through words but through their eyes—was an unforgettable moment that filled hearts with warmth and bright joy.
