National Online Seminar on Integrating the Sustainable Development Goals into Education

On December 24, 2025, Aigul Yerbolatkyzy Alpysbayeva, Leading Researcher at the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies, Faculty of Philology, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, conducted a national-level online seminar in English entitled “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Introduction and Implementation in Education.”

The seminar brought together approximately 50 participants, including school and university teachers, educators from Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, and students.

The seminar addressed key issues related to the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals into the educational system, modern approaches to incorporating SDGs into curricula, and practical ways of applying SDG principles in the teaching of humanities disciplines. Special attention was paid to the role of education in fostering sustainable thinking and civic responsibility among learners.

The event served as an effective platform for professional dialogue, experience sharing, and discussion of current challenges and prospects of sustainable development in contemporary education.
