On 28th of November, within the framework of SDG 4 – Quality Education, the first-year students of the Faculty of Biology at the Kazakh National University, together with senior lecturer of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature, PhD in Philology Kakisheva Nurzada Tursumbekovna, held a vibrant and informative event titled “Friendship of Nations.” The event aimed to strengthen mutual understanding and respect among representatives of different cultures.
Students from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, and Turkmenistan prepared engaging presentations in which they spoke about the traditions, customs, and national values of their peoples. They shared stories of traditional holidays, features of national cuisine, elements of clothing, and family customs.
The event became a platform for open dialogue: students asked questions, discussed cultural similarities and differences, and exchanged personal experiences and memories. This format allowed each participant to feel part of a diverse and multicultural student community.
The meeting concluded with friendly conversations and group photographs that will long remind participants of the warm atmosphere and mutual respect that characterized the event.
The “Friendship of Nations” event reaffirmed that despite our differences, we are united by common values — the desire for peace, kindness, and mutual support.
