A new stage of international scientific cooperation has begun at the branch of the Al-Farabi Center at Istanbul University. During a special official visit, Professor Tursun Khafizuly Gabitov of the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU) and Associate Professor Pirimbek Mukhanbetuly Suleimenov, Director of the Al-Farabi Research Center and a faculty member of the same department, met with the head of the branch, the renowned Turkish scholar Abdullah Kızılcık. During the meeting, the strategic direction of joint scientific research aimed at studying Al-Farabi's heritage from the perspective of modern humanities was approved.

Several important scientific initiatives are planned within the framework of this cooperation. In particular, it includes the preparation of an international scientific journal based on Al-Farabi's heritage for inclusion in the Scopus database, as well as the organization of an international Congress and scientific conferences dedicated to Al-Farabi's legacy. These initiatives will allow for the systematic integration of Al-Farabi studies into the global academic space.

The project's particular scientific significance lies in the study and publication, complete with scholarly commentaries, of two new treatises by Al-Farabi that were previously neither fully introduced into scientific circulation nor translated. These works pave the way for a new understanding of the thinker’s worldview, religious, and political perspectives.

This research is being conducted as part of fundamental scientific project No. AP26199967, titled "Modern Paradigm for the Study of Abu Nasr al-Farabi’s Religious and Political Views (Based on Manuscripts of the Treatises 'Kitab al-Milla' and 'Al-Ilm al-Ilahi')."

The primary goal of the project is a comprehensive analysis of Al-Farabi's religious-philosophical and political teachings based on manuscript data, and the study of his ideas in continuity with contemporary philosophical, political, and cultural discourses. The research results will be published in international scientific journals and aimed at promoting Al-Farabi's heritage on a global level.

This cooperation will make a significant contribution to the institutional development of Al-Farabi studies, the strengthening of scientific ties between Kazakhstan and Turkey, and the profound study of the Turkic-Islamic philosophical heritage.
