"The Spirit of the Republic in the Hearts of Youth": Al-Farabi KazNU Hosts Patriotic Evening Dedicated to Republic Day

The Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized a festive event titled "The Spirit of the Republic is in the Hearts of Youth" to celebrate Republic Day on October 25, within the framework of UN Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education. The event was organized by 1st-year students of the Philosophy program (Group 101) under the guidance of their curator, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences and Acting Associate Professor G.M. Sembaeva. This initiative brought together university students and pupils from School-Gymnasium No. 159 to foster patriotism and national pride.

The program featured educational lectures on the historical significance of Republic Day, alongside creative performances prepared by both students and schoolchildren. Under the supervision of G.M. Sembaeva, the faculty launched social media campaigns including challenges for poem recitations, traditional dances, and patriotic songs. A highlight of the celebration was a video greeting recorded by the 101st-group students for the citizens of Kazakhstan, which served to elevate the patriotic spirit and promote national unity.

The event resulted in a significant increase in participants' knowledge of the country's history and their commitment to national values. Beyond its educational and cultural impact, this initiative strengthened the university's evidence base for the THE Impact Rankings. By bridging the gap between secondary and higher education through shared patriotic values, the university continues to demonstrate its leadership in providing quality education and nurturing socially responsible citizens under professional academic guidance.
