Seven KazNU scientists became the best in the competition

Seven scientists of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University have won the "Best Researcher" award.

According to the decision of the commission, university researchers Gulzagira Atakhanova, Dosbol Baygunakov, Gulzhaukhar Kokebayeva, Almagul Kurmanova, Inesh Kenzhina, Alexander Ryaguzov and Irina Savitskaya were recognized as the best in the competition.

According to the results of the current competitive selection, 50 scientists representing research institutes, higher education organizations and scientific departments of various organizations became laureates. Seven KazNU researchers were among them, which accounted for 14% of the total number of winners.

This year, 358 applications were received for the competition in seven areas – "Natural Sciences", "Engineering and Technology", "Medicine and Healthcare", "Social Sciences", "Humanities and Arts", "Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences", "Military Sciences and National Security".

The prize is awarded in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 1, 2024, №103-VIII SAM "On Science and Technology Policy" and is one of the systematic measures to support scientists implemented by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Its purpose is to encourage researchers who have made significant contributions to the development of science and technology, as well as to support research activities.
