As part of the course “Medical Device Manufacturing”, under the supervision of Senior Lecturers of the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Organic Substances, Natural Compounds and Polymers, D.N. Makhaeva and A.Zh. Alikulov, fourth-year students of the educational program “Pharmaceutical Production Technology” were given a unique opportunity to step beyond the classroom and immerse themselves in a real manufacturing process at DORPLAST Invest LLP. During the visit, students became acquainted with the main methods of polymer processing, observed industrial equipment in operation, and addressed important issues related to resource conservation and waste management.
This experience made it possible to cover the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
-
Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12) - reflected in approaches to rational use of raw materials, minimization of production waste, and the implementation of material recycling practices.
-
Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9) - achieved through the use of modern polymer processing technologies, automation of production processes, and the development of the company’s industrial infrastructure.
-
Quality Education (SDG 4) - through the integration of practical experience with theoretical knowledge.
