The academician uses the KazNU supercomputer to solve complex problems
Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, renowned Kazakhstani scientist and public figure, academician Askar Zhumadildayev uses the power of a supercomputer of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University to solve complex mathematical problems.

According to the scientist, KazNU's high-performance supercomputer now performs tasks that previously took weeks to complete in just three hours. "I have my own powerful computer with eight processors, on which I solved my algebraic problems. However, the KazNU supercomputer completed tasks that used to take weeks in just three hours. This is truly a huge force",- said academician Askar Zhumadildaev.

The specialists of the Supercomputer Center have allocated special servers for calculations to the academician.

Currently, Askar Zhumadildaev continues to work on solving other complex tasks using this high-tech equipment.

It should be noted that the performance of the KazNU supercomputer is 2000 teraflops. It is one of the 600 best supercomputers in the world. Its architecture is based on Intel and NVIDIA processors, and the computing power exceeds the capabilities of the most modern personal computer by about 10 000 times.
