On 08 January 2026, a pre-defense was held in Room 214 at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Department of Botany and Agroecology, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, on the topic “Studying the ecological and biological characteristics of perennial wheat under Kazakhstan’s conditions and assessing its impact on biodiversity conservation and soil fertility.” The event discussed the potential of perennial crops for long-term soil carbon sequestration, agro-landscape stability, and improving soil fertility. The event was aligned with SDG 2 and SDG 15.
