The Significance of the National Kurultai for the Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Today, the 5th National Kurultai of the People of Kazakhstan was held in the city of Kyzylorda. It serves as the main platform for dialogue between society and the state, focusing on the discussion of key issues of the country’s development and the introduction of necessary amendments to legislative documents. Its main goal is to ensure public participation in the discussion and formulation of important decisions, not replacing state authorities but complementing them.
Initiatives that the Kurultai can propose in the fields of education and upbringing, environmental protection, and the implementation of artificial intelligence in the Republic of Kazakhstan
The Kurultai can act as a public platform proposing reforms aimed at fostering a responsible and patriotic citizen; strengthening the role of the state language and cultural unity; improving the quality and accessibility of education; protecting the environment as the foundation of national security; and forming a sustainable model of national development.
The Kurultai, as a nationwide forum, can propose initiatives aimed at the responsible and safe implementation of artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan. First of all, this includes the development of ethical standards for the use of AI and the protection of citizens’ personal data. In the sphere of public administration, AI can be used to improve the quality of electronic public services and enhance the transparency of government bodies. In education, the Kurultai may recommend the development of AI literacy, the training of specialists, and the integration of digital technologies into the learning process. In the economy, it can support innovation, startups, and the introduction of AI in industry and agriculture. Special attention is given to the development of AI in the Kazakh language and the preservation of national culture. These initiatives contribute to building a modern, just, and technologically advanced Kazakhstan.
