KazNU and Kyzylorda region expand strategic partnership

Chairman of the Board – Rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with the head of the region Nurlybek Nalibayev during a working trip to the Kyzylorda region.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of joint training of qualified personnel for the region, conducting research and developing a mutually beneficial partnership between the university and the region. Special attention was paid to initiatives aimed at the development of science and education in the socio-economic development of the region.

The head of the university, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, informed about the latest achievements of KazNU and presented the university's development plan. In his speech, the rector noted that the university's scientists are conducting comprehensive scientific research on the territory of Kyzylorda in various areas, including on the Aral Sea.

Currently, 1,229 students from Kyzylorda study at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In addition, 42 specialists from the region hold various responsible positions.

During the meeting, Akim of Kyzylorda region Nurlybek Nalibayev noted that KazNU graduates successfully work in the field of education, healthcare, public service and entrepreneurship in the region and make a significant contribution to the sustainable development of the region. The governor of the region also noted the willingness to strengthen ties between education and production with the university and the implementation of joint innovative projects.

During the negotiations, both sides discussed the issue of concluding a memorandum of bilateral cooperation between the Akimat of the Kyzylorda region and the al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
