Head of the Department of Chinese studies Completes an International Academic Visit to China

Farida Orazakynkyzy, Head of the Department of Chinese studies, paid a two-week academic visit to the People's Republic of China from January 5 to 16, 2026, at the invitation of the Institute of Design and Art of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, within the framework of an international project.

During the visit, Farida Orazakynkyzy delivered a presentation entitled "Digital Media Communication of Traditional Kazakh Culture" and conducted a series of high-level academic and scholarly events.

As part of the program, she also visited the Digital Media Laboratory of Shaanxi University of Scie & and Technology, the Shaanxi Provincial Center for the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage, as well as several local cultural and technology enterprises. These visits provided an opportunity to gain in-depth insight into China's advanced practices in the digital preservation, protection, and promotion of intangible cultural heritage.

The academic visit contributed to strengthening bilateral academic cooperation and promoting international exchange of experience in the field of digital research and dissemination of traditional cultural heritage.
