Farabi Winter Scientific School: “The Enshrinement of Human and Civil Rights and Freedoms in National Legislation and International Acts”

On January 27, 2026, another session of the program was held. The moderator of the event was Doctor of Law, Professor A.S. Ibrayeva.

The speaker was Doctor of Law, Professor D.M. Baimahanova.
The topic of the lecture was The Enshrinement of Human and Civil Rights and Freedoms in National Legislation and International Acts

The lecture examined the concept of fundamental rights, freedoms, and duties of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The main objective of the lecture was to раскрыть the key ideas enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan regarding human rights and freedoms.

The lecturer provided a detailed overview of the classification of fundamental human and civil rights and freedoms закрепленных in the Basic Law of the country.

In her lecture, D.M. Baimahanova discussed the main stages of global constitutional development, the rights and freedoms закрепленные in the world’s first constitutions, as well as the categories of rights and freedoms established in modern constitutions of Europe, America, and Asia. The categories of rights and freedoms enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan were also examined.

Special attention was paid to раскрытию the elements of the mechanism for the entrenchment, guaranteeing, implementation, and protection of fundamental human and civil rights and freedoms in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Winter Scientific School was organized for students of legal specializations from foreign universities.

The organizer of the event was the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
