Cooperation has been concluded with Jeju National University

Margulan Ibraimov, Member of the Board and Vice–Rector for Research and Innovation at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, participated in an international seminar on the development of higher education in Central Asia and Mongolia at the invitation of Jeju National University.

The event has become a significant platform for discussing current trends in education, sharing experiences and developing joint approaches to training competitive specialists in the context of global transformations.

As part of the continuation of the dialogue, a memorandum of mutual cooperation was signed between Jeju National University and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The document creates a solid foundation for strengthening institutional partnerships, improving the quality of education, developing academic mobility of students and teachers, as well as implementing joint educational and research projects focused on the principles of sustainable development.

A practical step towards the implementation of the agreement was the organization by the National University of Jeju from January 26 to January 31 of the educational program "Jeju NextGen AI Future Leaders Camp" with the participation of students of 2-4 courses of KazNU. The program is aimed at developing students' professional and digital competencies, expanding their international academic experience and developing leadership skills that are in demand in the context of sustainable and innovative development.

An important aspect of the program is the full financial support of the participants from Jeju University. This helps to expand access to international educational opportunities and is consistent with Sustainable Development Goal No. 4, which is to ensure high–quality and inclusive education for all.

The initiative makes a significant contribution to the development of international academic cooperation, the strengthening of intercultural dialogue and the formation of human capital based on the principles of sustainable development. The project also contributes to further strengthening the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea in the field of higher education.
