Scientific activity will be intensified

Meetings aimed at further strengthening scientific potential are continuing at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. This time they were held at the Faculties of Law and Physics and Technology.

The main purpose of the meetings with academic staff is to improve the university's performance in international scientific rankings, differentiate the results of ongoing research projects, and discuss issues of systematic improvement of research work at the faculty level.

During the meeting, Margulan Ibraimov, Member of the Board and Vice–Rector for Research and Innovation at KazNU, elaborated on the current state of scientific activity at the university, noting that in recent years the number of scientific publications has increased one and a half times, and there has also been a steady increase in cited indicators. Nevertheless, further strengthening of work in these areas is needed in the coming period.

According to him, the opinion of academic experts is of great importance in improving the quality of scientific results, therefore it is important to establish close professional contacts with international and domestic experts, systematically develop joint scientific research and expert interaction.

In addition, Kuanysh Tastambek, Director of the Department of Science, explained the importance of professional and complete completion of the researcher's profile in improving the scientific reputation of scientists and teachers. He gave specific recommendations on the unification of author profiles in international databases, the correct choice of highly rated journals and the possibilities of publishing articles.

During the meeting, the participants were able to ask their questions and expressed their suggestions on the organization of scientific activities.
