Professional Development Course for Military Prosecutors Launched at Al-Farabi KazNU Faculty of Law

A professional development course for officers of the military прокуратура of the Republic of Kazakhstan has commenced at the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, hosted by the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Criminalistics.

The course is delivered within the framework of long-standing cooperation between the University and the military prosecution authorities and contributes to the implementation of the previously signed Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation. The program has been designed by the academic staff of the Department with a strong emphasis on applied learning and practical relevance, taking into account the specific nature of military prosecutorial work.

The course is scheduled to run from 2 to 27 February 2026. The total workload comprises 72 academic hours, with an average weekly load of approximately 18 hours (Monday to Friday, 2–4 hours per day).

The curriculum covers key thematic modules, including criminal policy; criminal procedure and prosecutorial supervision in cases handled by military prosecution authorities; legal qualification of criminal offenses in the field of military service; and investigation techniques for criminal offenses related to military service.

The course content, structure, and delivery formats are tailored to the professional needs of participants and aim to enhance their legal competencies and practical skills in law enforcement and prosecutorial practice.
