Experience Exchange at Leading Research Laboratories in the United Kingdom

Senior lecturer of our department Adilzhanova S.A. visited leading research laboratories in the United Kingdom for the purpose of academic and professional exchange. During the visit, she actively participated in discussions on current research and practical solutions in the fields of digital twins, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Special attention was given to the implementation of digital platforms in the food industry, data security, and the improvement of cybersecurity systems.

Adilzhanova S.A. presented the department’s research areas at meetings and seminars held at the universities of Birmingham, Nottingham, Lincoln, and Loughborough, and proposed initiatives for joint research projects, academic exchange, and doctoral programs within the framework of international cooperation. In addition, on June 23–24, she took part in the international conference “The Third UK AI Conference 2025” in London, where issues related to the safe and responsible use of artificial intelligence, personal data protection, and the principles of fairness and reliability were discussed. At the end of the visit, she also toured the SmartParc SEGRO innovation hub for the food industry in Derby, gaining insight into the practical application of digital twins and automated production systems. This visit undoubtedly opened new opportunities for the department to establish international research collaborations and participate in global projects.
