Public order and crime prevention within the framework of SDG 16: a preventive meeting with students

03.02.2026 at 17:00 in the Student House No. 16, an event on the topic "Public order and crime prevention" was held with the participation of the Dean of the Higher School of Economics and Business Zh.Zh. Ermekova, Deputy Dean of the Higher School of Economics and Business I.U. Kuliev, Deputy Director of the Student Campus E. Kalshayev, Chief Specialist B. Dikhanov and Senior Lieutenant of the Bostandyk District Department of Internal Affairs D.O. Sherim.

This event was organized within the framework of Goal 16 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - "Peace, Justice and Effective Institutions", as well as the principles of SDG 17 - "Partnership for Sustainable Development".

The purpose and objective of the event was to explain the importance of public order among students, to form a legal culture, to increase respect for the law, civic responsibility and legal awareness through the prevention of offenses.

As a result of the event, students' legal knowledge will increase, a sense of personal responsibility for maintaining public order will increase, respect for the law, obedience to order and an active civic position will be formed. This, in turn, will have a positive impact on reducing the number of offenses among students.

In conclusion, public order and the prevention of offenses are the common responsibility of every citizen, including young people. We believe that such preventive measures will contribute to the improvement of students' legal culture, the formation of law-abiding individuals and responsible and conscious behavior in society.
