The Updated Constitution as the Foundation of a Just and Democratic Society

The updated Constitution reflects society’s aspiration for justice, transparency, and the strengthening of democratic values. It is aimed at further shaping a more just and balanced political system in which human rights, the rule of law, and social justice are key priorities. The introduced changes create conditions for strengthening the independence of the judiciary, developing civil society, and enhancing trust between the state and the people.

I believe that the updated Constitution opens new opportunities for Kazakhstan’s continued development as a legal and democratic state. The success of these changes will largely depend on our shared responsibility, active civic engagement, and respect for the laws of the country.

The new Constitution also emphasizes the importance of citizens’ active participation in the country’s public and political life. It promotes the development of civic initiatives, strengthens dialogue between society and the state, and increases the role of the people in making important decisions. In the long term, the formation of a mature and responsible civil society will become a key factor in the successful implementation of constitutional reforms, the strengthening of democratic institutions, and the sustainable development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
