KazNU Students Supported Campus Cleanliness and Held a Plastic Waste Recycling Campaign
On February 5, 2026, second-year students of the educational program 6B11301 – Logistics (by industry) of the Department of Business Technologies, Higher School of Economics and Business, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, participated in an environmental event organized within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The purpose of the event was to develop students’ environmental culture, increase responsibility for environmental protection, and raise awareness of the importance of waste recycling. This initiative was implemented in accordance with the 12th United Nations Sustainable Development Goal — Responsible Consumption and Production.
During the event, students handed over used plastic bottles to special collection devices and became familiar with the processes of waste sorting and recycling. The initiative was aimed at maintaining campus cleanliness, reducing environmental impact, and promoting environmental awareness.
By supporting environmental initiatives, students followed the principle “We support campus cleanliness” and contributed to promoting the university’s sustainable development values.
