Partnership with Harvard University will expand

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with Jorge Chávarro, Dean of Academic Affairs at the Chan School of Public Health at Harvard University.

During the talks, the parties discussed the prospects for the implementation of joint projects in the field of education and science. Special attention was paid to the development of academic mobility of students and young scientists, as well as the creation of conditions for the exchange of scientific experience and the development of advanced research methods.

In his speech, Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted KazNU's achievements in the field of science and education, informed about the university's existing agreements with leading higher education institutions in the United States of America and stressed that the Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare is successfully operating on the basis of KazNU. In this context, an initiative was put forward to develop cooperation between the Faculty of Medicine and Public Health of KazNU and the Chan School of Public Health, including the implementation of innovative research projects and the development of joint educational programs.

For his part, Jorge Chávarro expressed support for the proposed initiatives and confirmed his interest in strengthening partnerships with KazNU.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on a plan for further joint actions and agreed to prepare a memorandum aimed at implementing the agreements reached.
