SDG-16: Students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Stand Against All Forms of Violence

Our position is zero tolerance for any form of violence. We support the creation of a safe, fair, and respectful environment.

Violence is any act that violates a person’s rights and dignity. It can take physical, psychological, emotional, economic, or cyber forms. In any manifestation, violence harms society and negatively affects personal development.

Students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University do not support any form of violence and strongly oppose it. The university community upholds the values of mutual respect, tolerance, and the protection of human rights. We consider the creation of a safe and supportive environment both at the university and in society to be one of our key priorities.

We are guided by the following principles:

• The life and health of every individual are the highest values;

• Respect for equality and non-discrimination;

• Promotion of a safe and supportive environment;

• Peaceful resolution of conflicts;

• Support for individuals facing difficult situations.

Our goal is to prevent violence, increase legal awareness, and promote a culture of mutual respect. We strive to build an environment where everyone feels safe, can freely express their opinions, and receive support.
