Forming Legal Culture within the Framework of Sustainable Development Goal 16: Seminar-Training “Law and Order as the Foundation of Justice”

On February 12, 2026, PhD and Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Mukhan Nurzat, conducted a seminar-training dedicated to SDG 16 – “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions,” under the theme “Law and Order as the Foundation of Justice.”

During the event, issues of developing legal culture, strengthening the rule of law, and maintaining public order were widely discussed. The seminar facilitated effective cooperation between the university, civil society institutions, and social centers.

The event served as an important platform aimed at strengthening the rule of law and maintaining public order. By combining academic potential, practical social support, and civil society resources, the legal literacy of young people and socially vulnerable groups was enhanced, and their responsibility for complying with legal requirements was strengthened.

Furthermore, the exchange of experience and dissemination of knowledge contributed to the development of legal culture and encouraged citizens to recognize their responsibilities toward society. Through shared social responsibility, partnerships based on sustainable development principles and respect for law and order were reinforced.
