13 february, 2026

On February 10, 2026, Secondary School No. 40 hosted a scientific project competition as part of the “Al-Farabi” subject association week in Mathematics, Informatics, and Physics.

Students from grades 3, 5, 6, and 8 participated in the event, presenting and defending their research projects. The students demonstrated research skills and introduced innovative ideas in the fields of mathematics, informatics, and physics.

As an invited guest, I attended the event, listened to the students’ presentations, and served as a member of the jury evaluating their projects.

In addition, a roundtable discussion was organized with teachers, focusing on methodologies for preparing scientific projects, systematic work with gifted and high-achieving students, the application of artificial intelligence in the educational process, and digital transformation in education.

The event was held within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 17 — “Partnerships for the Goals.” It aimed to strengthen academic cooperation between the school and the higher education institution, enhance the quality of education, promote experience exchange, and develop the scientific potential of young learners.

Such collaboration between secondary and higher education institutions contributes to the formation of long-term social and intellectual capital through education, which is one of the key principles of sustainable development. These meetings not only increase students’ interest in science but also foster an intellectual environment that supports sustainable development.
