Mukagali Makatayev – Poet of the Century

On February 11, 2026, to mark the 95th anniversary ofMukagali Makatayev's birth, students of the Economics programheld a spiritual evening, reading the poet's mysterious, sad, anddeeply meaningful poems.

This event aims not only to instill a love of literature in theyounger generation but also to promote national values. Thepoet's works promote such noble qualities as morality, love, patriotism, and compassion for nature. The event aligns with theSustainable Development Goals: Goal 4 – Quality Education(development of spiritual and cultural education), Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities (preservation of cultural heritage), and Goal16 – Peace, Justice, and Effective Institutions (strengtheningspiritual values).

Mukagali's poems are the spiritual wealth of the nation. Thepoet's legacy will forever remain in the hearts of the youngergeneration and form the spiritual foundation that will serve asthe basis for the country's sustainable development.
