“Mukagali Makatayev – Eternal Life!”

On February 9, 2026, a curatorial hour titled “Mukagali Makatayev – Eternal Life!” was held for first-year students majoring in Economics at the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The main objective of the event was to familiarize students with the life and creative work of the prominent representative of Kazakh literature, Mukagali Makatayev, to explain the significance of his literary heritage, and to foster students’ spiritual and moral values.

During the event, a brief overview of the poet’s works was presented, highlighting that his poetry reflects humanism, patriotism, love for the homeland, and national spirit.

The curatorial hour was organized within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 4 – “Quality Education,” demonstrating the importance of promoting national cultural heritage as an integral component of quality education.

It was concluded that Mukagali Makatayev’s творчество holds a special place in Kazakh literature and plays an important role in the spiritual upbringing of the younger generation.
