📢 Invitation to Participate in a Joint Research Project

The Center for Sustainable Development in Central Asia (The Hong Kong Polytechnic University - Al-Farabi Kazakh National University) announces a call for joint research projects aimed at addressing pressing sustainable development challenges in the region.

🔬 Priority Areas:

1. Social Work, Social Development, and Social Policy:

Projects focusing on social welfare systems, community development initiatives, social policy reforms, and their impact on vulnerable groups in Central Asia.

Research on social work practices, social justice, and inclusive development strategies.

2. Sustainable Tourism, Community Tourism, Digital Transformation of Tourism, Artificial Intelligence in Tourism, and Tourism Education and Training.

3. Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection:

Research on environmental policy, sustainable resource management, and ecosystem protection in Central Asia.

Projects focused on climate change adaptation, renewable energy, and sustainable development in rural and urban areas.

Interdisciplinary research integrating environmental sciences and social development.

Faculty members from PolyU (APSS, SHTM) and KazNU (FPPS, FGES) are invited to participate. Projects must be carried out by joint research teams from the two universities.

💰 Funding: up to HKD 500,000 (APSS) and up to HKD 250,000 (SHTM) for 18 months.
