Exploring Modern Library Formats: KazNU Students Visit the Zhambyl Library

First-year students of the Department of Publishing, Editing, and Design Arts at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, under the guidance of their instructor Makpal Khalelovna Argynbayeva, visited the Zhambyl City Youth Library.

The purpose of the visit was to study contemporary approaches to book promotion and new standards of visual communication. The Zhambyl Library, which has undergone large-scale modernization, serves as a key site for examining current trends in environmental design and the promotion of book content.

During the excursion, students discussed with Makpal Khalelovna how the role of the publisher and editor is evolving in the digital era, as well as the requirements for designing modern literature for young audiences. Such off-site classes foster students’ creative thinking and help them better understand the demands of today’s market.
