Interregional cooperation with the Republic of Sakha will increase

Chairman of the Board - Rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with Deputy of the State Assembly (Il Tumen) at Al–Farabi Kazakh National University The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) by Alexander Ivanov.

The visit of the representative of the legislative authority of the region emphasized the desire of the parties to strengthen interregional ties and develop the scientific and educational potential of the two countries.

Welcoming the guest of honor, the head of a leading university in Kazakhstan noted the high importance of the visit for establishing a long-term partnership. Zhanseit Tuimebayev stressed that, being a leading scientific and educational center, KazNU unites fundamental science, innovation and international cooperation. Today, the university is actively developing research projects and integrating education into the real sector of the economy. The university pays special attention to international cooperation, which is confirmed by successful experience in participating in global projects and partnerships with leading universities in Europe and Central Asia.

"The Sakha Republic is a strategically important region with unique natural conditions and a powerful resource potential. We are confident that the interaction between scientific schools and expert communities of our countries will become a solid foundation for joint research and the implementation of educational programs",- the rector emphasized.

Alexander Ivanov expressed interest in exchanging experience in the field of personnel training for housing and communal services and construction. The parties stressed that the consolidation of the efforts of specialized universities will make it possible to train specialists who are able to successfully solve the tasks of developing regional infrastructure.

Concluding the meeting, the participants expressed confidence that this visit would launch new initiatives and joint projects in the field of science, innovation and youth policy.
