On January 11, 2026, at Specialized Gymnasium No. 12 named after Sh. Ualikhanov Specialized Gymnasium,within the framework of the theme “AI: Mathematics — Precision, Informatics — Opportunity”, the Mathematics and Informatics Department organized a career guidance event titled “Choice + Development = Future” for students of grades 10–11.

The event was held within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 4 — Quality Education (SDG 4) and aimed at providing equal access to quality education, expanding students’ educational opportunities, and supporting informed career choices.

Distinguished guests from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took part in the meeting, including: Head of the Department of Mathematics, PhD, Associate Professor Syrim Kasenov,Head of the Department of Computational Sciences and Statistics PhD, Associate Professor Almas Temirbekov, Deputy Head of the Department of Mathematical and Computer Modeling for Academic and Educational Affairs Lida Sagimbayeva.

The meeting was conducted in an open and interactive format. The speakers provided detailed information about academic programs, research opportunities, and career prospects for graduates of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics.

It was emphasized that graduates successfully pursue careers in IT companies, research institutions, financial organizations, education, as well as in data analysis, artificial intelligence, and mathematical modeling.

At the conclusion of the event, the importance of strengthening school–university cooperation within the framework of SDG 4 was highlighted. The “Choice + Development = Future” event became an important platform for guiding students toward conscious and confident career decisions.
