Debate on How Gender Roles are Evolving in Modern Society

On February 16, 2026, at 15:00, a debate on “How Gender Roles are Evolving in Modern Society” within the framework of SDG 5 “Gender Equality” was held via GOOGLE MEET.

        The event was organized by senior lecturers A.Myrzabyeva, B.Karabayeva, G.Kairakbayeva. Participants included 1st-year students of the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management representing the educational programs “Tourism”, “Restaurant and Hotel Business”, and “Cadastre”, as well as university staff and students.

        The debate had an international dimension with participation of students from the National University of Uzbekistan, The National University of Mongolia (NUM), Shenzhen University (PRC), and Hult International Business School (Dubai, UAE).

         The discussion focused on the transformation of gender roles, equal opportunities, redistribution of family roles, and gender policy in education and media. Students asked questions on these topics, expressed their thoughts and actively participated in the discussion.

         The event strengthened international academic cooperation and promoted SDG 5.
