“Future Profession and Financial Literacy”

13 february, 2026

On February 13 “Future Profession and Financial Literacy” meeting  was organized by the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory. During the event,  the students were provided with comprehensive information on career guidance, new labor market requirements, the characteristics of modern professions, and the importance of effective financial management.

The guest speaker of the meeting was Ilyas Ongaruly Kuliev, Deputy Dean for Social and Educational Affairs of the Higher School of Economics and Business. He delivered an insightful lecture and highlighted the role of financial literacy in contemporary society. In his speech, he discussed in-demand professions, the advantages of interdisciplinary education, and the importance of developing self-improvement skills. Special emphasis was placed on financial discipline, a culture of saving, and the significance of setting long-term goals.

During the meeting, students asked questions of interest to them and received practical advice on choosing a future profession and building a financial plan. The event, held in an open dialogue format, broadened the participants’ perspectives and inspired them to move forward with confidence.

Such meaningful meetings help young people make informed decisions and develop into professionally and financially stable individuals. Once again, it became clear that taking confident steps toward the future begins with choosing the right profession and developing financial literacy.
