18 february, 2026

The third day of Chinese Studies Week continued with an engaging session featuring Chinese students studying at our faculty. During the event titled “我眼中的哈萨克斯坦 — Kazakhstan Through My Eyes,” the students shared their thoughts and impressions about Kazakhstan.

They spoke about how they came to Kazakhstan, why they chose Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and described their first impressions of the country. Local students and faculty members listened with great interest and asked questions about what they liked or disliked upon arrival, what surprised them, and what made them reflect.

The Chinese students also highlighted the differences between the educational systems of Kazakhstan and China and explained how they adapted to the new academic environment.

Such events undoubtedly foster closer mutual understanding between students of the two countries, facilitate communication, and strengthen intercultural connections.
