Curatorial Hour on the Topic “Financial Security in the Digital World”

21 february, 2026

On February 21, 2026, a curatorial hour was held at the Faculty of Philology on the topic: “Financial Security in the Digital World: Fraud, Online Payments, Data Protection (Phishing, Scams, Bank Cards).”

The event was organized and conducted under the supervision of curator-advisor A.B. Rysbaeva with second-year students majoring in “Russian Language and Literature.”

The purpose of the event was to develop students’ skills for safe behavior in the digital environment, to improve financial literacy, and to prevent online fraud.

During the curatorial hour, students prepared and presented informational materials about common fraud schemes, including phishing emails, phone calls from “bank representatives,” suspicious links, and risks associated with online payments. Special attention was paid to personal data protection and the safe use of bank cards.

The discussion was held in an interactive format: students analyzed real-life situations, shared personal experiences, and suggested ways to prevent financial risks.

The curatorial hour contributed to fostering a responsible attitude toward financial transactions in the digital space and enhancing students’ digital literacy.
