The New Constitution – A New Kazakhstan

On 24 February 2026, a round table discussion entitled “The New Constitution – A New Kazakhstan” was held at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

During the meeting, which brought together members of the faculty’s academic staff, key issues related to constitutional reforms were discussed, including their significance for state development, strengthening civil society, and building a just and equitable Kazakhstan. The participants emphasized the importance of the rule of law, the promotion of democratic values, and the enhancement of public responsibility.

A presentation was delivered by Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Aitkhazha Bigalievich Bigaliev, who shared his perspectives on the topic under discussion. In his address, he highlighted the impact of constitutional changes on the country’s future and noted their positive implications for science and education. Particular attention was paid to the formation of legal culture among young people.

The round table concluded with an exchange of views and proposals.
