A national conference dedicated to the memory of Bakıt Kamalızy Orazymbetova, a prominent figure in the cultural sphere of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was held at the Kazakh-British Technical University in Almaty. The conference focused on her role as a prominent cultural figure and a respected specialist in museums and excursions.
B.K. Orazymbetova's contemporaries, colleagues, and students shared warm memories of this accomplished connoisseur of history and the culture of her people, a master of artistic expression, and highly praised her contribution to the development of museums and excursions.
Representatives of the National Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Almaty Tourism and Sports Administration and Academy, leading museum professionals, tour operators, restorers, tour guides, art historians, cultural and educational figures from Kazakhstan's regions, and relatives of B.K. Orazymbetova participated in the conference. Krym Altynbekov, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan and leading scholar and restorer of Central Asian archaeological artifacts; L.K. Sagyndykova, Director of the Almaty Museum Association; R.R. Shaikenova, Director of the Kazakhstan Tourism Association; and many others also presented their papers.The goal of the conference was to create a professional platform for the exchange of modern scientific and practical approaches in the fields of tour guidance, museum studies, and tourism, aimed at developing innovative forms of cultural and educational activities, strengthening synergies between museums, training personnel and tourism organizations, and preserving intangible cultural heritage amid the challenges of the 21st century.
The Al-Farabi KazNU Museum continues to actively support initiatives aimed at popularizing cultural heritage and professional development of the museum sector in Kazakhstan.
