KazNU representatives have improved their qualifications in Times Higher Education
Employees of the Center for Strategic Development of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University completed an internship at the London office of the Times Higher Education organization.
During the internship, the staff deepened their knowledge of international rating mechanisms, modern methods of data analysis, as well as strategic directions for promoting universities in the global educational and scientific space.
Special attention was paid to the study of the methodology for the formation of world and subject ratings, the principles of calculating key indicators, as well as practical tools aimed at improving the effectiveness of work in the field of rating policy.
Representatives of Times Higher Education held consultations on the assessment of research activities, the quality of education, the level of internationalization and the impact of universities on society. In addition, aspects of participation in the subject ratings and the Impact Rankings, which assesses the contribution of universities to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals, were considered.
The knowledge gained and expert recommendations will be taken into account in the preparation of strategic documents and plans for the university's development aimed at strengthening its position in the world's leading rankings. The internship has become an important step in improving the professional competence of employees in the field of rating activities.
