Biodiversity Protection is a Guarantee of Sustainable Life: Educational Seminar Held at Lyceum No. 24

A scientific and educational event titled "Biodiversity Conservation: The Key to a Sustainable Life" was held at Lyceum No. 24 in the Ili district for students in grades 9 and 10. The meeting was organized as part of the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 15 (SDG 15) — "Life on Land."

The keynote speaker was Aizhan Amirzhanovna Konysbayeva, a senior lecturer at the Department of Zoology, Histology, and Cytology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. As a highly qualified expert, she provided a scientific explanation of the unique role of flora and fauna in nature and highlighted the critical importance of biodiversity conservation for the future of humanity. During the lecture, the participants discussed the stability of terrestrial ecosystems, the interconnectedness of biological species, and modern challenges in environmental protection. The senior students actively participated in the discussion, addressing issues of maintaining ecosystem balance and exchanging views on the environmental responsibility of every citizen. The event not only fostered a sense of environmental stewardship among the youth but also strengthened the scientific and educational ties between the school and the country's leading university.
