“The Personality of Women at the Intersection of Science and Spirituality: Value and Respect,”

On February 25, 2026, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted the international round table titled “The Personality of Women at the Intersection of Science and Spirituality: Value and Respect,” organized by the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science and the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management.

In his speech, First Vice-Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU, E.E. Duisenov, stated that the purpose of the event was to highlight the significance of women’s personalities in science and spirituality and to demonstrate their role in the development of society.

The round table brought together scholars from leading universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, heads of educational institutions, and representatives of foreign universities, including Associate Professor Derizhan Itska of Burgas Free University (Bulgaria) (online), researcher Shakhnoza Kayumova of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth (USA) (online), and other prominent scholars who delivered meaningful presentations.

During the plenary session, participants discussed the role of women in science and society, the preservation and development of national values, and the spiritual and moral education of the younger generation. The speakers emphasized the importance of women’s intellectual potential and their role in preserving spiritual values.

As a result of the event, recommendations were adopted to support women’s scientific potential in education and research, strengthen international academic cooperation, promote national spiritual values, and ensure quality upbringing of the younger generation.

The round table was organized by the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
