Clean Campus – Everyone’s Responsibility

On February 23, 2026, an open lecture titled “Clean Campus – Everyone’s Responsibility” was held in the Conference Hall of the Academic Council named after Ye. Yergozhin.

The event was organized within the framework of the national environmental initiative Taza Kazakhstan and aimed at fostering environmental awareness and ecological culture among students. The speaker was Daliya Abylkassimova, Project Manager at Ecosen. During the meeting, students learned about the fundamentals of waste sorting, the principles of conscious consumption, and practical steps each individual can take to contribute to a clean and comfortable educational environment.

The event was organized by the members of the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Organic Substances, Natural Compounds and Polymers: Associate Professors Urkimbayeva P.I., Kenessova Z.A., and Senior Lecturers Makhayeva D.N. and Alikulov A.Zh. The Deputy Dean for Social and Educational Affairs, Zhaksylykova G.Zh., also attended the event and supported the initiative aimed at promoting environmental education among students.

Cleanliness begins with each of us. It is in our hands to reduce unconscious consumption and develop a responsible attitude toward the environment.

The event contributes to the implementation of SDG 12 “Responsible Consumption and Production”, established by the United Nations, and promotes the principles of sustainable development.
