Within the framework of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal No. 4 “Quality Education,” lecturer Mereke Sabyrzhanovna, together with first-year students of the Faculty of Journalism (major: “Cinema and Media”), conducted a thematic class devoted to the analysis of images in films and animated works.
During the lesson, students examined the features of creating screen characters, analyzed their personalities, motivations, and their role in revealing the main idea of a work. Special attention was paid to artistic means — visual details, characters’ speech, musical accompaniment, and directing techniques.
The students actively participated in the discussion, provided examples from well-known films and animated works, learned to justify their viewpoints, and conducted critical analysis of media texts. The lesson contributed to the development of analytical thinking, professional skills, and the formation of media culture among future specialists.
