Workplace Excursions for Professional Orientation

In order to provide professional orientation and integrate theoretical knowledge with practical experience, an экскурсия was organized to the internship sites of 4th-year students majoring in “Information Security Systems,” as well as to the workplaces of students already employed in their field of study. During the internship, students become familiar with real work processes and gain practical insight into modern technologies and information systems.

In particular, at Қазақтелеком, ForteBank, Мемлекеттік техникалық қызмет, Mimicats Cyber Security Group, Б-Сервис, the Public Foundation ҚР Лаңкестік және экстремизм мәселелерін зерттеу орталығы, andthe Қарасай ауданының Жер қатынастары бөлімі, students perform tasks related to information technology, cybersecurity, technical support, analytics, and documentation. They monitor information systems, configure networks, protect data, identify vulnerabilities, provide technical support, prepare documentation, and compile analytical reports.

Additionally, at ISA Logistics, TOO MFO, РЭК Энергосистема, KMLAB, Техинвест, and Turan-Kyzmet,students undertake internships within information security departments as analyst assistants, audit assistants, penetration tester assistants, SOC trainees, or operators. They participate in security audits, analyze network traffic, detect vulnerabilities, register incidents and carry out initial response actions, and prepare technical documentation.

Industrial practice enhances students’ professional competencies, fosters responsibility, teamwork skills, and analytical thinking. Such workplace excursions and hands-on experience play a significant role in preparing competitive and qualified specialists in the field of information security.
