Digital Transformation as a Strategic Direction of National Development.

On February 27, 2026, a student discussion event entitled “Digital Transformation as a Strategic Direction of National Development” was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The event was organized to discuss the priorities outlined in the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev entitled “Kazakhstan in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Current Challenges and Solutions through Fundamental Digital Transformation.”

During the discussion, participants examined the role of digital transformation in public administration, education, science, and the economy. Particular attention was given to the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, digital infrastructure development, big data management, cybersecurity issues, and the improvement of digital literacy.

Students actively engaged in the dialogue, sharing their perspectives on the application of digital technologies in their future professional activities. The discussion also covered the development of digital competencies, support for innovative initiatives, and the digitalization of research activities.
