An Open Day on the theme “The Modern Energy Silk Road” was held in Almaty at the venue of the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, organized by Asian Gas Pipeline LLP. The event aimed to strengthen international cooperation in the energy sector, highlight the strategic importance of modern infrastructure projects, and provide career guidance opportunities for young professionals.
The event was attended by a representative of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty — the Consul General of the PRC — who delivered a welcoming speech. In his address, he emphasized the significance of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and China, noting the contribution of joint energy projects to regional stability and economic growth. Particular attention was paid to the role of the “Modern Energy Silk Road” initiative in enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation across the Eurasian region.
During the event, the company’s management introduced participants to its core areas of activity, its role in the international gas transportation system, and its experience in improving production processes. Guests were informed about industrial safety standards, digitalization and automation systems, as well as principles of environmental responsibility. Representatives of domestic and foreign companies, members of the expert community, as well as faculty members and students of higher education institutions in Almaty took part in the Open Day.
The meeting included discussions on cooperation in energy, international relations, transport and logistics, and sustainable development. Students and young researchers had the opportunity to communicate directly with industry professionals and receive information about internships, practical training, and future employment prospects.
The event became an important platform for professional exchange, strengthening academic-industry ties, and expanding international cooperation. Such initiatives contribute to effective integration between education and industry, ensuring continuity between knowledge and practical experience.
