Innovative tools are integrated into the learning system
An expert strategic session "Academic Management and quality of education: intensive for managers and teachers" was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The event, organized by the Department of Academic Affairs, has become a key platform for discussing the university's development vectors in the context of digital transformation and improving international educational standards.

The main goal of the intensive course was to comprehensively update approaches to managing the educational process and introduce innovative tools into the daily practice of faculties and departments. The session was divided into five specialized thematic tracks covering all levels of management and teaching staff.
The track "Process Management" has become a priority for the deputy deans for educational and methodological work. The participants were engaged in the development of detailed "passports" of key processes: from the distribution of academic workload to the organization of professional practices.

The focus of the teachers' track was on "Redesigning disciplines using GenAI." In the format of teamwork in the "Draft – Critique – Improve" cycle, the participants updated the educational and methodological complexes, adapting them to modern artificial intelligence capabilities.

The heads of departments discussed the issues of university integration with the real sector of the economy. The issues of ethics and scientific activity have become equally important. Teachers have developed algorithms to de-escalate digital conflicts and combat burnout, and the Deputy deans for science have updated performance management models in the Scopus and Web of Science databases, focusing on KPIs decomposition and the search for international grants such as Horizon Europe.
