KazNU shares AI experience with Chinese University

Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Chairman of the Board and Rector of the Al–Farabi Kazakh National University, held talks with Fan Bo, Secretary of the Soochow City Party Committee. The meeting was attended by Vice Mayor Ji Jing and the Rector of Soochow University Zhang Qiao.

During the meeting, Fan Bo noted that Soochow is one of the most important cities in eastern China. According to the secretary of the city party Committee, today the city's leadership pays priority attention to the development of scientific and technical innovations, support for high-tech industries and the formation of a modern industrial ecosystem. Work is especially actively underway to form a city based on the "Artificial Intelligence+" format.

In turn, Zhanseit Tuimebayev emphasized the leadership role of al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. He focused on the university's potential in training qualified personnel in the fields of computer science, artificial intelligence, robotics and digital technologies, as well as successes in conducting fundamental and applied research. The Rector noted that in recent years, KazNU has established productive cooperation with Suzhou University and large industry enterprises in the areas of cluster development education, science and manufacturing.

As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to expand academic mobility programs and enhance the exchange of teachers and students. In addition, KazNU and Soochow University expressed their intention to develop a specific action plan for the implementation of joint innovative projects.
