Students Explored the Operations of a Hotel

           On February 27, 2026, second-year students of the “Restaurant and Hotel Business” program at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University visited the Best Western Plus Atakent Park Hotel as part of their academic practice. The excursion was organized under the guidance of Associate Professor Zhanna Medeuovna. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize students with the structure of a hotel enterprise, the guest service system, and the operational features of different departments.

       During the excursion, hotel staff introduced students to the work of the front office department, the room reservation system, and international standards of hotel service. They also presented information about the activities of the sales and marketing department, cooperation with corporate clients, and the promotion of hotel services through online platforms.

During the visit, students explored the main areas of the hotel, including the reception area, conference halls, restaurant, and rooms of different categories. The educational excursion allowed students to observe the organization of hotel operations in practice and gain valuable professional insights for their future careers.
